sorry to cut in but dios had a point at my post so i'll just add a little controversy here. :D ummm well lots of players find neabys to other players with the green as most do. and then they go to obliterate them. thats what i meant by all planets being lost. players get greens other players capture and obliterate unless it was a x14 or more or something.

Regardless, the coding for the percentage chances of finding planets is the same. The type of planet is irrelivent - chance of finding planet remains the same only now that chance is divided up between player/green/sp rather than just player and sp.

The types of planet available do not change the chance of warp actually going to a planet.

Aaah Rag, now I understand you. But I must ask how this is different from any current situation in the game?

Whenever a player finds a planet, they are likely to have it captured off them - it is always a possiblitity. This is irregardless of whether they find the planet as a green, capture it off of another player or if they take the planet from SP Confederation. The risk remains the same, as does the count of lost planets.

actually i'm sure its not the same i tried it out for 12 hours ina row in warp, i can say its close r to 60%.

But my point is warp already proves to be a risk big enough for greens.

Provide me some statistical proof and I'll buy that. Saying things to support your arguement is easy. I could say that I warped for 24 hours straight and found nothing. You can't disprove me and it supports my arguement. Yet it is equally likely to be not believed by anyone else.

The only actual reference to the percentage of time that the Warp finds a planet is in that topic and it states clearly that the warp finds a planet 33% of the time, making the chance of finding a green roughly 16%, probably even less - closer to 11 or 12%.

the only prove i can give is my number of planets all found through warp and maybe 50 more i give to some other players, also if u believe there's a 16% chance of finding a green planet i have no doubt u don't use the warp as often as u think, try using it for 2 hours and tell me how many greens u got ;)

okay lets put this to a vote for SL and see what happens. I think i'd be on your side dios because there is 20000 planets out there. many green. so in which we could use them all up i think they would regenerate by the time we use them up. because the process of oblit and capture takes time it would take maybe a couple months before all the greens are gone but if we count the greens that come into the real arena then it would make up for the loss.

How many greens I find over two hours isn't relivant Arcanix. Statistically over time the warp should find a planet 33% of the time.

Regardless, this has gone flying off topic and I've yet to see one realistic arguement against this change other than Greens will lose their value - an arguement I feel I've successfully disproved.

oh now i get it, since some players can't get enough greens its betetr o just split all the greens in the game and hope old players will keep a steady supply for those who need them...

i haven't seen one valid argument to implemnet this chnage also otherthan the fact that some players don't have enough planets.

I think you may completely have missed the point of the proposal, that or you know the reasons behind it and you're contrascending towards it because you don't like it. It's 1am here and I'm pretty tired of the same old debate raging backwards and forwards so I'll pick this back up tomorrow at some point.
