yes they have countless times found the missing link, but check the scientific papers and you will find out that the findings were only tentative and soon found false with in about a week

Lets put it this way, Mammals are all remerkably mammal shaped and fish are all remarkably fish shaped.

Therre are minor differences between species, but if you think about all of the possible combinations there could be, they're remarkably and basically all alike. Heart, lungs, brain, appendages, organs, et all.

Are there differences, yes, are they huge, no.
