Filas, as for maximum market prices, that code has not changed since the market was first developed. I did propose changing the maximum prices, or even eliminating them, but many players got VERY upset at the idea of making such changes.

However, if you can get at a 2/3rds majority of the active players in the game to post in a forum topic in favor of eliminating maximum price ceilings (and minimum price floors), then I would be willing to make the change. However, I would need a strong mandate to do so, and I would also very willing to listen to arguements against change, since many players have strongly asked that we have no changes in the game for a few rounds.

Yes, I also prefer no changes in the game for longer time, but...
Changes in the game can occur without changing code. Like we have this time.
1. Unlimited res stock at fixed price became available only last round, because earlier there were people willing to sell for lower prices (I don't know why it was coded earlier, I was expecting just lack of some res on market if no one would like to sell for 50 credits...), so I can say that unlimited stock was change of the game.
2. The reason for fixed max prices for res was ability to keep res on market. After this was fixed, the reason for fixed prices disappeared.

So no limits for prices I'd call not the change of the game, but preventing of the change of the game. Which in ideal situation should've been done at the same time as last market changes.

I agree the system has many advantages to those with additional features. But the main thing i like there is that a player can be evaluated seeing whether he is a "member" or not according to his results. And if player results (main) are considered as points or total points here - then the system is fair. But the fact is that they are not. It is points/time. Personally i do not consider that the same points with different time can be called the same results. It is a real-time game according to all its functions, but it is not according to these purchases-time machines. At least let us know about players making influence to the game from outside as there is in all other games.

RBA: I'd always assumed those were perks for donators; I'd never considered that they served any purpose other than aesthetic. Hmm, it'd be difficult to do something like that in the SkyLords code atm, as we don't have the credits purchasing system automated at the time. If you want I can put it on my list for review at some later date, but if I haven't even the time to fix the invisible ship bug, it may take a while for me to get to that point on the list. Anyway, HTH.

Filas: Ask those that tie my hands ;P. Also: 1. it was available at the very inception of the market, and also, you are with those same words justifying Prof's change of the attack/cloud behavior. After all, it was a feature he wasn't aware of, you like you weren't aware of the infinite supply, though it has been around since the market began. Please decide for yourself then, should changes be made just to fit how you thought the game was, or if you do prefer no changes for a time ;P.

well I mean..... sooner or later....... dogg or proff. or other who OD on creds.. are gonna surpass real players like zxy inpoints. not that zyx and all of ltc didnt exploit bugs..... fact..... they never exaclt went against the rules....... they just twisted them in constellations or bent words...... but yeah...... always. they won by indredable wit, cunning and skill,....... never did they BUY their points......

I dunno how many point porff has goined form holding as many recs as he does... at least 4ook for the past 2 rounds. I'll leave the exact number up to Filas to calculate but..... as Filas himself knows..... in the old sl... 400k Points was a hell of a lot of point to gain... and you gaqined a lott of respect with those points too......

"buying" that many points seems. almost...... degrading..... its deffinately shameful...... as many players agree...... and so I think there should be a hall of fame..... before the legends are lost among the players who seemingly were just as good players by point comparence......... but all they did was sit on fat HWs. that they bought........

I played both the old and the new SL and I think that the new version has a lot going for it. The addition of buildings and the market has made gaining HWs and getting resources easier, but I think that it is because of this new ease we need to make earing points harder because like MoM said soon we will be degrading the acomplishments of the games oldest vets.

Just something to think about as I do like the no changes period but I think that there could be some work to do when that period expires.

i disagree...your point(imo) is a fiarly basic debate

compare WW2 to david VS golaith

like you said, new SL has alot going for it, but should a risk be involved to hinder that just to honour a few vets who have not kept playing to support the game and its progress?
