Agreed. Well, you have to stay there until the end of the period with that planet to win the bet, unless someone else attacks, in which case, you have won already.

However, you have not won unless someone else attacks or you finish the time period as owner of the planet.

I have, however, invited others to attack. It is unlikely that I will win this bet at this point.

As for the ships lost to a turret, yeah, it happens. I was center clicking on Firefox browser and not looking at outcome (as it opens a new tab). I probably should have been more careful, but with untrained assaults, I wanted to get as many attacks in as possible as fast as possible, so I was not waiting for the browser screen to refresh before clicking to attack with a new ship.

No automation programs here. Otherwise, I would have been MUCH FASTER! :)

As for the defense loss, yes, it was 200M defense taken out, but that is only 40M T&E on a 20x planet. So, LTC still has the potential to attack something back, but with about 400k less potential points than they would have had without my attack. And, there is a slight matter of the cost of 150 turrets and a hundred or more fighters used up which also should be considered in the overall cost to LTC of this attack. Not a trivial cost, I believe. One nice thing about those little transports with high attack and defense and nothing else is they are more costly to kill than they are to make, and the points are higher for the defender than the attacker from killing the ship shield, so not a bad outcome overall from my perspective.

Of course, ignoring a ship shield also is costly, as LTC found with this attack which was much faster and easier once they started leaving the ship shield alone. I had to attack much slower before the shield was fully in place.

So my questions...

1) Did you recover your 87 assaults which I and Baras killed?
2) Did you get "loan" from NP Ship Trader?

Please answer ;) Thank you.

Well, I don't think NPST has any ships. I believe they were all deleted long ago. Have not checked that account in a long time, however.

Besides, if I wanted to cheat, there would be easier ways to do it than using another account.

As for total points, I have lost less HWs than I have purchased resources with credits to offset, and I have had as many planets or more than you have on average over time for the past eight months, with full production on and lots of buildings producing on planets now as well.

My total resource income probably was higher than your total income, therefore, over the past year or so, in terms of resources produced and harvested (including two months early after credits were introduced when I had 100 planets for two rounds). I also gained a lot of resources by buying low and selling high in the market. As a result, I have accumulated a lot of resources (as Filas likes to point out). This attack has consumed a significant portion of those resources in one week, but it was worth it to me. And, I now have a point score which is less than most of the LTC clan, but at least, reasonably respectable overall and more consistent with the points that might be expected for my consistent game playing with full planet upgrades for at least the past year. It is about time I did a significant attack and got a few points!

No "loans" from NPST. Ships lost were not replaced, but I did purchase a lot of credits after that loss and bought a lot of iron and troops on the market. Due to the surprising nature of that event, I used cash, paid to the game, to replace my losses, and bought a lot of ships.

I decided that the loss was not due to cheating, so I did not want to replace ships, and anyway, Iiridayn definitely does not like creating ships and strongly prefers giving resources to players when mistakes or bugs destroy value. Since I am doing okay on cash flow now (just sold a company three weeks ago which I owned about 70% of, so pretty okay with cash). My wife is no longer mad at me about her not having any money (we got over $80k in credit card debts paid off in full last month alone), so I could afford the credits to buy what I needed to make new ships and pay others to make them for me or sell them to me.

Yes, I used credits. Yes, I bought stuff on the market. I also drained a lot of stuff off most of my planets, and have virtually no iron left and have bought all on the market that was priced at 33 or less. So, yeah, I bought a lot of stuff, and a few other players in the game probably are feeling a bit flush with credits now. This might cause a bit of price inflation for a while, but the prices were declining a lot before I bought credits, and the criticism of players for buying credits has slowed down purchases of credits by some players who might have otherwise purchased some, so I did not think it would be harmful to add some liquidity into the market as a means of replacing losses and providing resources for others in exchange for ships sold (by Hope, Watupdogg, Filas, and many others). And, yes, I was paying more for ships over the past few days than I have in the past. I had purchased over 100 ships at 1.3 million T or E per ship, but had to go up to 1.4 million T or E per ship last week due to my rush situation and urgent need for additional trained ship capacity. Fortunately, I had some left after your attack a week or so ago, but not enough to do the job.
