Proff. Everyone who is paying attention and reading about Turrets and figureing out the best strat understand. The problem here is that these Usually Smart players went out to attack without knowledge or adequate preperation and got their butt handed to them, and now they are crying. I'm sure that they would not attack a planet without a spy report. They should have read first and then tried to attack a couple of different planets with Max fighters since it has been plainly posted that they have the best chances of success. Think about it, How long would it take to take out a HW using min size assaults?

You say that it is all examples from Movies?

How do you explain historical figures like Atilla the Hun? Constantly defeating enemies many times his strength through good strategy, mobility and luck in positioning on the field etc...

Your enemy makes a mistake, that is poor play on his part, luck on you part. In SL luck is present constantly, as it is in war.

You send troops to from Barracks A to Barracks B because you feel that Barracks B is about to be attacked, then you enemy carry out their original plan of attacking Barracks A and you lose the Barracks. That is poor play on your part, but your enemy has been lucky.

AGUX, stop crying, luck is present in all fights, even down to fist fighting in a play ground, it is part of everything, deal with it.

Lets make "luck" - only LOGON time. I think it's enough for "luck".

BTW i'm not crying about my clanmates lose this battle - I don't lost on it anything :P:D.
but truth is - 20% chance must NOT be 20 % for all.
5% for not trained
50% (at least) for fully trained fighter.
Is that not fair? Does exp of fighter means nothing for luck?
Atilla the Hun was exp. fighter! I believe there was many man's who was killed on those battles - they was worse fighters...

Yes, they were worse, but they were also unlucky, Atilla was a good person for strategy, he made sure that brought battle to the place he wanted. This is bad luck for his enemies who have to enter battlefield from a poor place.

It isn't 20% for all, it is more for a trained fighter, but there is still the chance that it will be destroyed on the first turret, just as there is a chance it could make it through all turrets, killing a few and not get destroyed.

Piloting today in an Air Force is alot about skill, but it is also about luck. The missiles are radar guided by their home base (in this case the plane they were launched from) and these radars are also what enemy missiles lock onto and aim for. If Pilot A and B both fire at each other and are locked onto each other, it is skill of flying and luck of missile reacting to flying and speed that determines who is hit first. So luck and skill are invovled even in real life today.

NO! there was NOT bad luck for his enemies! There was bad strategy, general with no brain, or something... luck have nothing with this.
If you fall on your but - you can call this bad luck, I will call this slick floor or something :P

I have recovered from slick floor falls without hurting myself, which was LUCKY for me.

At any rate, one issue worth considering here is that the COST of taking out turrets, on average, is roughly the SAME as the COST to build the turrets, both with trained and untrained fighter. Trained fighters are much more powerful in a fight with turrets, but they also COST more to make.

This is not accidential. The design of turrets was intentionally set to make cost to build them and cost to take them out (using fully defense and attack trained or untrained fighters) is about the same (although with some risk, so the actual cost to kill turrets might be 20% higher or 20% lower than the cost to make the turrets). The element of surprise, which often exists in combat, is that you don't know how many turrets are there on the planet. The ability to have spies able to see turrets was something players voted on last round, and the vote was mostly in favor of spies not seeing turrets and turrets not killing spies.
