Good bet; England has got one of the best sides I've ever seen this year. They've got a mix of youthful talent and energy (Theo Willcott, Crouch), some skilled normals (Wayne Rooney, Joe Cole) and some of the best veterans (David Beckham, Gary Neville). Brazil is slowly becoming old, as is obvious from aging players such as Edu, Ronaldhino and Ronaldo, France will rely on the old hero Thierry Henry and subseqently fail.

That sounds like quite a nice mix there Griff. I've put money on England this year, but after watching the game against Paraguay I'm not so sure; mainly because Sven makes the worst subistitutions ever. After we brought Owen off we just sat deeper and deeper because there was no real threat or target at the front.

England will not win, beckhams goal was pure luck. If it wasnt for the paraguan to head it in that would not have even been a goal and england would not have won. If they can barely beat paraguay what makes anyone think they have a chance beating brazil or argentina. England have one good player that is currently playing, that will not bring them the title. US has a better chance of winning than england, lmao. Portugal has a good chance of winning as well. |

What i just reed it could be anyones year this year but considering Germany is playing on ther own playing field i would pick Germany, but then again griff gave me a idea of brittish soccer and then i thought it could be Germany vrs. Britain but im a little rusty when it comes to soccer so if you ask me any one can win just like what happened with T&T vrs. Sweeden or the Poland game. So i don't have a honest preddiction yet honestly

Dogg: Rooney, Lampard, Beckham, Owen, Gerrard, Terry and Joe Cole all made it into FIFA World Football Awards nominations, so I fail to see how that is just one good player
