Christiando Ranaldo; disgraceful. He should have been sent off for diving; some of the referees decisions were just outright poor. England played with typical spirit and grit after Rooney got sent off (shouldn't have happened), and Lennon and Hargreaves showed superb spirit; eventually, came to a shootout...on which England are cursed.

Portugal did not deserve it, as they did not play well at all. Even with a one man advantage, England got the better chances.

Unbelievable French performance; Brazil didn't even have a say. Zinedene inspired like a true captain, and the goal that Thierry scored was typical of the absolute dominance of France; Germany, Italy and Portugal must be shaking in their boots.

I would also like to point out to Dogg that USA didn't win a single game this World Cup and finished bottom of their group

But yeah, England vs Portugal was an awful display by the ref, that's 2 out of the last 3 World Cups we've been effectively cheated out of, anyone remember Simeone rolling about on the floor?

However I think the next World Cup should be interesting, Ledley King will probably be invovled, as will John Terry, Aaron Lennon will be older, Rooney will be older, Gerrard, Lampard and Cole will all be right at the top of their games, I think it's an exciting decade for english football

It was an upset that France won, But Brazil earned what they got for playing like crap during their group matches. That is pretty much all I have to say other than Brazil has a team of old folks.

England played a good game but they just lost alot of people, So I guess they didn't stand a chance against the unstoppable power of the up coming Portugal. Though however much I like Portugal, the ref. did indeed suck so freaking bad it wasn't funny. I wanted to cry really, it was a disgrace to the world of futball! really!

Germany will win it all if they can set up and beat italy, I have no doubt that they will, France will kick Portugals ass back to the other side of Spain, and it will be up to Germany and France. Though that is only my guess, I hope FIFA will manage good refs.

To dogg, The USA has been to I believe 3 or 4 world cups and have nev er made it out of group play. USA is a young country in the eyes of futball but they might stand a chance in the next four years.

I actually thought it would be nice if Portugal could get to and win thier first final despite the game against England.

BUT after watching their "gamesmanship", I believe the actual word is cheating, I'm glad France won it. Ronaldo did virtually nothing all match except try to win free kicks by diving, the boy really should be punished for his cheating throughout the tournament. And that's not sour grapes, I think Rooney may well have deserved to get sent off, another ref may have given a yellow card instead of a red, but Rooney lost it and it was his own fault (he'll learn), but Ronaldo butting in a whining at the ref like a little baby was discraceful.

I really can't wait to see what happens if he has the nerve (which I doubt) to play again for Manchester United this season. At worst he'll be booed all over the pitch, at best some fan with a well aimed throw will deck him with a bottle or two. I hope it's the second!
