That's not a bad idea, so long as they spend time in newbie building it up before coming here because they will just get nuked when they enter Real Arena if they don't get that chance.

But here's the problem. Newbie joins, newbie quits on day one, fourteen days later you have several inactive 15m HWs dumped into the Real Arena with no defensive resources on them. You might be able to get the 16m troops needed for just one of these in 14 days, but I know I can't. If we follow your plan, the universe will be made up of large HWs and small inactive newbie ones just waiting to be taken out.

im too lazy to read more then this..

"As a newbie, I already understand why quite a few of the new players quit. I have been playing exactly two weeks, built up 25 planets as it states to do in the handbook. After 1 week grace period, while still in the newbie zone, I am attacked and lose 9 planets. I take my 16 planets into the real arena and am attacked the same day I enter the arena. Currently I have 6 planets and am trying to build enough transports to hold all my troops and material I have amassed so that when my last 6 planets are destroyed I will have a few resources to start over with when I locate new planets.

For my two cents worth. I would put a cap on the amount of troops allowed on 1 planet. You have homeworlds that cannot be taken because there are to many troops located on it, if the max amount of troops allowed on a HW was lower, it would cause more conflict between the top end players instead of them looking for newbies to kill (Like Me) and I would give newbies a longer grace period than 1 week before being attacked.

As for resetting the system, I have a question that needs answered.

When in the last 4 months have there been any true wars between the top 15 players. If there have not been any, then the game has become stagnant and the elite are just attacking those who they know cannot do them any harm (Like Me again). It the answer is that there have been no wars between the top players, then the game needs reset."

ok first of all.. u lose all ur ships if ur defeated .... 2nd... there is a cap on resources... 3rd... if we gave noobs a longer time to be in immunity then they could take every one of our planets but our high hws and we would b production planetless for however long u suggest.. thats alot of resources wasted cuz we cant take our planets back... lastly... incase u were to innactive to notice last month... smartfox and lord airon took hw after hw.. there were at least 5 large hw attacks between all the different top clans... the game is not stagnant.. its just really costly to attack left and right.. and ull understand that once u get to our playing level...

I wrote in one discusion about newbies HW.
After immunity ends (7days), newbie is allowed to turn on his HW defense building which gives about 50M def and each day he must turn on again this building (like shield) other way def decrease 5M/day. Newbies will have good protection for resourses and must be active to get this protections. That hw you can't sell, leave or give somebody (like BZ). Time for being active defense building need discusion (1-3 rounds)

And no more stars, levels is only way increase attacking and gaining points.

50 million seems pretty over the top and iirc about the way SL is coded, it would require a massive code change to do, OR it could only be available in the newbie arena.

iirc, the newbie arena and the real arena are different "classes" of player on the database and as such it could be coded to give htem different options. However there are no different group classes of players in the real arena. There are the time played classes, but other than that... hrmm.. I wonder if it could be coded through that *ponders*

Either way, I like the idea, although I'm far more in favour of a reset to level the playing field after all the changes the game has undergone this year.

i didnt read every page just the first and the first line of the first post on the last page but how about we give the new players a bigger assualt and make it a 500k and give it 200% so they dont waste as many troops

also i think a reset would be pretty fun especially if we are given notice of the reset a few rounds before hand (before the reset we need to get more players)
