As stated before this round started, if the attacks remained low, interest on T & E would be reduced. However, some players have expressed concerns that lowering interest might hurt new players. Therefore, in an effort to provide for higher interest for smaller HWs and lower interest for larger HWs, interest will be calculated based on resources on the planet, as follows:

Interest earned per day per resource = 2% / (millions of resource on the planet, 1 million minimum)

This will apply to ALL resources, and means that the interest you earn will decline as you accumulate more resources.

Planets with less than 1 million of a specific resource will earn 2% per day for each resource less than 1 million.

A planet with 10 million Troops, in contrast, will earn only 0.2% per day in interest on those troops (2% / 10).

Correct. There is effectively a maximum income from interest, such that incentives to store troops on HWs just to get interest are eliminated. However, you still have the ability to earn interest to have T & E go over the 15 million limit, so this will not stop people from having HWs with maximum defenses. They just won't earn additional interest on defense over 1 million.

Of course, for 500k, you would only earn 10k per day (2%), so interest is linear in effect up to the 1 million resource point, which becomes the optimal level of resources to have a planet for all resources from an interest earning perspective.

Interesting change. Can be really nice if there will occur a lot of small targets. Pitty i don't have enough planets to divide everything in such small pieces :( :]

yea lowering intrest HELPS new players

Some player starts: 100k res used to get 1k a day
People like me: 100 mill res used to get 1 mill a day

How is that new player supposed to catch up

If you are trying to help new players why dont you do it by how many stars the player has? Good interest for 1 stars and gradually work to crappy interest for 5 stars.

I guess that means you'll have to divide your 150 mil HW into 10 15 mil HWs, and earn 10 times more interest. I don't like the change :shrug:

why? Becouse somebody can take those small HW's easier then big one?
It's your choise:
have one big and very secure HW with a small interest
or
take a risk and have many small vulnerable HW's with big interest

Smaller HWs with more interest also means more interesting targets to shoot at.

Current system with 0.5% interest means 10M T on HW gets 50k interest, and HW with 1M T on it gets 5k interest. New system means that 10M T on HW gets 20k interest and HW with 1M T on it gets 20k interest.

This means, players with smaller HWs will have 400% of the current level of interest, and players with large HWs will get 40% of the current level of interest.

Alternative is to have lower interest for all players, with interest dropping to 0.1% or 0.2% for all levels of T on all planets. We need lower level of interest to encourage use of T for attacks rather than just storing it for earning interest, but having a lot of smaller HWs would also encourage attacks, so that is also a reasonable outcome.

Helping players with smaller HWs more than players with large HWs also makes sense.
