I just would like to know what direction we are going to go. If we aren't going to do anything to enable parity I'm taking both of mine down and turning them into assaults. So that I can take out a coupel of HW's before they are all gone. :shrug: Why be just a target?

yup, defense should be raised asap, but something should be done with hw, perhaps deemers ideia or profesor ideia would be nice ;)

now attacker pays 3 times more than defender so even now it's quite expensive to capture HW...
Even now some players has only T and E in HWs and no one is attacking because it's too expensive too attack, if defender gain more power - no one would like to attack HWs at all... And we can go back to uncapturable HWs age we had before...

Ok so Abbra- cabdabra we have higher def. Thats not the point. The point is parity. When it was just SF being an oddball it was ok. Now that it is becoming an overall strategy this is when it need to be looked at and decided upon.

OK lets try this again from a perspective that maybe someone ( I can only hope) will understand.

If your opponent has no HW and No resources how do you gain points? We know how he gains points, he attacks your HW. How do you gain points against him?

Filas you are all about fighting what do you suggest? How do we ensure that not only does everyone have a HW but actually needs one?

Bert, the only way to ensure that everyone has HW is to have ships based to planets as we had earlier. Else what would make me to have HW? Even if it was profittable to have HW - some players would prefer absolute safety and would not have HWs.


But another question is why should we have HWs? HW is relic from old SL, when to have safe ships you needed to have safe planet. I think it is really not necessary now. And I don't knowwhy should we want to bring back HWs? You say we'll have nothing to attack? OK, so it will be harder to gain points, it will not be enough just have res and train assaults, but you also need to find targets - that would be much more challenging than now.

Indeed I don't care much - change whatever you want. I'll be able to adopt to any changes or to leave game if changes would make it completely boring for me...

I don't care either. I just point out trends so that the rest of the SL community can understand what is going on and some possible effects of what is comming. Alot of people do not see the signifigance of this trend on how SL plays now and the future playing of the game is being drastically changed from what it was a month or two ago. :shrug: The thing is I don't think alot of people will like where SL will end up if we Continue. The guys pushing this trend will be upset the most as Targets dry up or disappear altogether. Leaving nothing but production fights. If this is what everyone want then fine I'll shut up and work on the next problem I see ;) If not and we want to continue to see a high point and exciting Hw battles then we need to find a way to make HW's not just ok to have but necessary. Fair is where no one needs a HW (where we are now) or everyone needs at least 1.

warning: long post

i have been thinking more about this hw problem and i don't think we have such a problem yet, i mean the only reson hw are being attack so much is because players now have more resources to use (market and planet limit), so thats, in my point of view the only problem, but becuase of market/planet limit new hw can be made really fast, so what is the problem??people aren't making hw?,why?the market is one solution, but thats not all, easy training is another, but everyone is using the market as a bank so fixing this would help.In my point of view THERE is no problem, just because this round some hws have been capture doesn't means this is goignto happen all rounds, the only possible problem in this is the market and the new resources limit, and thats why i would liek to see a building that gives you at least 20M defense so that max defense will be 100M again, you guys wanna have hws all the place make this building not o expensive and you will see a lot of mini-hws ;)
