On size of universe, 8 players wanted to reduce size of universe to 8k, 19 players wanted to have universe stay current size but all new planets added within 8k range, and 34 (55%) wanted to keep universe size as it is now. Universe size will stay the same as now.

Ship probing is a more complex issue. 27 players (44%) wanted no ship probing. 34 players (55%) wanted some range of ship probing. But, question was not well worded. We will address this issue again with a question that is better thought out and with options that are more carefully described. Something will be done that allows ships to be detected, but details need to be worked out and I will want to hear more discussion in SL concil room on this issue and the tradeoffs and issues we need to consider.

OBLITERATION

23% of players (14 votes) wanted to keep obliteration free like it is now
5% of players wanted to eliminate obliteration entirely
Vote between high cost of obliteration (23 players) and modest cost of obliteration (21 players) was very close.

It is clear that there is support for some cost of obliteration. However, as pointed out by CJ and others, the question was not carefully thought through and more detail discussion is needed. Bottom line, there will be some cost of obliteration, but how that is done needs to be worked out in more detail. There will also be another vote in September on this issue, with more details on options.

Slight majority, 57%, supported some limitations or cost on giving away planets to retake them, but 43% of players felt that no change is needed on this aspect of the game.

GIVEN THE COST of making this change, there will be no limitations on giving and recapturing planets during the month of October for certain, and it is unclear if there is a strong need for a change at all. However, I would like to hear more discussion of this issue in the SL concil.

70% of players were in favor of a change to probing, with only 30% voting for status quo. However, the question was not clearly worded and the answers were not exclusive either/or options and some players complained that more clarity is needed in another survey on more specific options for modifying probing.

Some change should be expected, but with details to be refined and a new survey given out later this month on probe issues and questions regarding options.

Thanks for the results Prof, made interesting reading. :)

I guess the post results debate will continue in the support forums. If you play SL and dont read the support forums, head on over there and take a look around and post your ideas and comments to any of the topics which you see.

VOTE NO ON SHIP PROBING and VOTE FOR LESS PLANETS (way to easy with lots of planets - no skill involved)

Sorry I'm not very active so wanted to be heard
