This has been brought up in the past, but rehashing it. With the removal of being able to type in coordinates, it makes it a pain to go to a custom location (at least for me). I use to always park my tranny at some location like 7 7 747, which was easy to type in, now I leave it at a planet because I don't want to try and type the colons. Could set the unnamed ship that is in the system as a way point marker that shows up in a separate hyperspace and i-flight menu. Or you could have them show up in the same one, wouldn't think people would want too many of them, but some people are weird. But it is a beacon ship that allows your ships to jump to it or i-flight to it. This allows for ease of creating rally points for setting up attacks or moving ships that are trained, or whatever, instead of having to type in the number if it is something you use on a regular basis. |

I strongly agree that invisible ships should be on the list of easy hyperjump targets.

I don't think it's that colons are difficult to type, but more so that colons are flow breaking compared to tabbing.

Ya, I can type colons, I just can't type colons on my number pad, which is what I usually use for numbers, so it becomes type number, look at keyboard to move to the colon... - now if could use periods as a separator in addition to colons- or something else off of the number pad, then that would work |

Periods would work. I have the same problem. Colon is a shift+Colon button which is just clunky when you consider you are doing it 10-500 times a day.

@H911Reiver I'm designing first for the non-JS case, and will improve things later, so avoiding a page load will eventually come (yes, can do CSS tabs and maybe I should just... I'll look into it.)

Anybody who speaks Lithuanian, please verify or fix this google translation (or reword to be clearer): "atskirkite x,y,z koordinates : arba /"

@H911Reiver Re bug for copy-paste coords outside valid universe - please post or send me a PM/DM (if sensitive) of a string that triggers a server error; "55555555:5555555:555" doesn't trigger it, just sends you back to the space page as intended.
