Why is E so much more than T right now? I would have thought T would have a higher value, since it's more generally useful. I'm sure I'm missing something obvious .

from what I have seen most production planets are making t only. I personally get a lot of vital as im killing a lot of spc planets. 2m of t roughly gives 1.5m of v so even if I max production of e, I still make t and e at 3:1 ratios. the e which is out there seems to only be on HWs and ive seen more partial homeworlds with 15m t and no e than the other way round.

E is a waste of production other than to cover the cost of shields. Therefore less E production makes it harder to come by and more valuable.

At this point market prices mean almost nothing. E is definitely less valuable but only by up to 10% in my opinion.

E is only used for defense.. T on the other hand is both offense and defense...

So - T is more valuable, so nobody produces E. Chances are the market went crazy at some point ramping E (and presumably T) prices up, and nobody's replaced it since what they have they use for defense and they don't bother making more typically - and it can't be looted from SPC. Fascinating - thank you .

The low level of E traded would also factor in. I would be willing to guess people trade T on a semi regular basis but rarely E.
