I have been asked to vacate my current residence, and have not had adequate preparation to set up a fast internet connection with hosting capability before this time. I recognize that SkyLords is faltering just a bit (nightly sun deletions are a decent indicator of player activity), and would prefer not to cause activity difficulties, such as by taking down the server for a week.

My alternative is to put the server on virtual dedicated hosting, possibly with http://www.linode.com/. Server porting causes a surprising amount of difficulty, and also should be completed a month in advance.

All that said - that I have to move out before the end of the round is going to cause problems again this round. I apologize for the late notice - I found out three days ago that I would be moving before tomorrow - but didn't realize that I would also suffer internet disruption at the same time until 5 minutes before I started writing this. My current plan is just to force the round to end during the port of the server - alternatively I could extend it till next month, or give it a few extra days in May - please post your opinion before I have to unplug the server .

How can we all help with reviving skylords long term.
I think allowing the round to finish a later time would better and on a side note there are so many planet aystems witbout suns these days, most of the active players do other things than capturing or finding planets

I already have basically all of my things out other than last day clothes, food, toiletries, and office equipment (including computer and SL ), so it's gone well - the room was pretty small, so I didn't have much to move.

Force round end, although my opinion may be biased as current round leader. Good luck with the move, thank you for keeping SL running all these years, its been part of my life for 8 years now.

The only problem with forcing the end of round in early may is the purchasing of up-grades on number of planets.
Is there a way to give us a free-be on planets up-grade.
In a way maybe I should not consider it a problem if production continues through the down period.
