According to the preface of the book, the books are based on the tv series, the tv series on the radio show. For those who are fimiliar with the tv show the books are nothing line it, and for those who are fimiliar with the radio show there is no relationship with them either. So in keeping with that theme, the movies are nothing like the books.
Having said that I am going down to buy my make my deposit for the dinner show at the Restrant at the End of the Universe and place my reservations. I think the deposit is 2 cents. That should pay for dinner and all the fixings.
