Now using automated scripts is still against the terms and conditions of this site... But back in the good ol' days I did make some scripts that helped people out...

Yes, while active scripts are banned - passive scripts, which submit absolutely no information to the site, will be in general allowed at this point. For a clarification regarding what I mean - a Firefox extension or a Greasemonkey script which merely sits around and only gathers information from the page - is a passive script. In the future specific limits may be applied regarding which actions might be performed on said data, but I'd rather keep such limitations to a minimum myself . So anyway - you could also change the content or layout of the page - but only as long as you use only content which you have stored on your own computer or another server, along with the content of the current page. And example might be making a list of all clan members somewhere on your computer or remote site, and every time a post is viewed by one such member, a user defined style is applied to their post, turning it bright red, or something.

they don't. if i remember right the scrips just do what people do manually looks at the imputed coords and if they are within nearby it just highlights them.

Sounds good to me . It's a O(n^2) problem, no? (double for loop).

I'm pretty sure it would be ok, but I just wanted to run it past you. I'm developing an SL tool suite, it will have a bunch of SL tools with a browser element that will open up to SL. It may parse data from the page but won't be putting data onto the page (like auto-filling text fields or something). Does that sound ok?
