if saddam had gone to jail he wouldve been treated appaulingly he wouldve then gone(not literally) to the UN and complained that his human rights were being violated and wouldve either had his sentence reduced, been moved to a different prison or he wouldve been released it has happend anyone remember the thing with the drug addicts who complained that thier human rights were being breached because they werent allowed access to drugs

No one is better off dead... people are only as powerful as their followers, Saddam ordered these things, but people were willing to commit those orders, basic compassion could have removed saddam, you only needed one guy with a gun...

Probably, but he would have had the chance to re-think etc... rehabilitation was always unlikely with Saddam. But to take his life the State is sinking to his level and creating a Martyr against their very principles. It wasn't a sound political move and it sure as hell wasn't smart in any way.

they can appeal i think since they still r human and technically still have human rights unless u can classify them as no longer human once convicted of war crimes

I'm sure there are conditions in place concerning valid applications under war crimes although I'm not 100% sure.

alright abe ur missin the key point in ur post right after mine... no there wernt constant wars over there for the public eye to see.. there were mass exicutions... basically a war with 1 side dominating the other... watch a review on saddam hussein and u will see that he was killing hundreds of thousands of people for not reason.. it was genocide... this has been going on for years...
