No. Querry joins are a problem for MySQL, especially when you have to join a large planet table with a large player table. The more constraints we have on joins, the more time each takes and the higher the probability of problems for the server. I am not going to save these old planets of inactive players. If they don't care enough to log in, they can restart from scratch, just the same as if their planet was deleted. So, if you have been saving some lovely planet to be captured when the time is right, this is the round to do it, as it will be wiped out in May.

"Name as round winner stays even if account is deleted, as round winners are text file and not affected by database actions in any way. So, no need to worry about loss of points history in round statistics. That will not be affected by anything we do now."

True. Name will be available to use. Interesting point! We might have a new AD reborn.

Can I request that Moderators and Clan leader be able to clear out message threads like they can PM's where all they need to do is check the box and the posts are deleted. This would speed up the process of keeping the forums clean of spam.

Posts are history. Sentimental value. SL is described as a community in the wiki, why not keep around the memory of our old friends?

Old friends are killing our server's memory and speed. I'm all for history, but history should not impead the present. Anything over 2 pages is usually ancient history for us as far as posts are concerened.

History is important, I agree. But if old topics made this game slow...I 'd like game become more faster so I have an idea: Why don't create a parallel website (linked to Skylords) where we can put all old Topics and Stories? In this way we don't loose nothing and if someone have some topics to read again can take a look in this site. In skylords forums we keep only newest

Not a bad suggestion! I like it. I will ask Iiridayn to look into what would be needed to enable this as an easy option. Delete or move to archive for older posts. Keep forums fast for active topics (and thus, game fast), and don't care much about speed on historical archive topic posts.
