Flexible fighter will not make one difference, Everyone will just max out the attack, That way whomever attacks first will win.

I think that in SL as in anything there will always be tradeoffs. It is up to the individual to decide which one they are going to choose. Maybe they are going to sit on their buns for months and collect interest. They get res, but its also boring as hell tradeoff. Maybe they do this and then they launch huge attack, consume half their resources at once. Now they have traded res for points. Prestige. What have you. Money for res. Time for res. Spend time making money to buy res. Its all the same in the end, and I dont think attacking is about "Hey my attack has jus deprived you of an equivalent amount of resources as my attack cost. Choke on that sucka." Its about getting the points, abouting doing something that is hard, cerrtainly harder than defending. If defending was the same as attacking there would be no point, it would be as bert says except HW style. As for interest, why bother keeping a homeworld if all it is is a target. Its not like now that everyone has one the second interest disappears they are all gonna say "Hey Im to lazy to move this back onto ships." Worried about wasting resources on inactive players? At least you know they arent going to retaliate and if you have any planets at all you should be gaining faster than they are. Except there is the issues of the youngins. Well I dont have uber amounts of res but I tell you that interest certainly helps. Maybe its not enough to build fleets but its enough to give me a better shot at defending from them. I guess Ive rambledon enough, but all Im trying to say is that interest isnt that bad. I would like to see interest on credits or something. Enjoy.

I agree with Hope and MB, interest is not all that bad, but right now interest is killing the game, Also Cajin had I read this post I would not have sent you that pm, as I do not want to buy all those assaults anymore. I will continue to build up as everyone else is doiing the same. The game will switch from a war game to a building game which will lead to nothing and then the game will die, we all know the outcome if nothing is done, we all know the source of the problem, interest. All we need to do is make it so that building is slightly beneficial, but not so beneficial that noone wants to attack. All we need to do is lower interst to .5%, half of what it is now and we will see more people atacking. Simple solution.

How bout we just go back to how it was when zygi owned the game and then we can just shutup about interest and def of planets and buildings (you can keep market however - keeps ppl from cheating others out of res-)
