This change is not good. And either is not bad, as touchs everyone equally. It's just a change which is preffered (for unclear reasons) by the master of the game :]

Four planets for free? Yuck. That would not have appealed to me as a new player. Seems too hard to be successful without forking out cash.

Yes, players who have cash can have an advantage now, but the advantage is modest and not so large as to make cash or credits dominate the game. The Lith players are doing fine without spending cash, and of course, they are very good players with a lot of experience, but at least it is possible to be at the top of the game without spending a dime of cash. I like it that way.

professor this sucks... im sorry i havent been playing for months and only saving reosurces and have millions to spare like you.... in some ways this is also bad for new players as the more planets they have the easier it is for them to survive...

and all you do it sit there and make changes... these changes affect us ( players ) not you... yes you spend your resoruces but then agian you dont attack...

im not saying you dont know whats best for the game sense it is yours... but why not let the people who play your game vote on all MAJOR (this is major) changes... as you have had more people join this game from other people who already play then it being avertised...

You can have 36 planets or less at lower cost than before. This makes it easier, not harder, for real newbies. For players who have played a few rounds, the cost is still less for 50 planets than the value of the resources produced on the market.

As for not attacking, I have taken more than 20 planets this round, with zero training. I have seven 500k assaults with combined experience of over 300% between them, with zero training (all exp from taking planets). I took a 525k defense planet this morning from The Swarm in the center of the battle zone (Zygi of the Hill). In my mind, this is enough attacking to be considered active.

As for HW attacks, I participated in several major HW attacks a while ago, and this definitely annoyed people, some of whom felt it was unfair (not surprisingly, the clan attacked mostly).

As for fighter to fighter attacks, I have not learned to fight that way yet, but might now that I have a planet to defend at the center of the battle zone. I might have to build a few fighters to have a chance of defending my planet against fighter attacks long enough to get turrets built there.

In general, however, I prefer defensive playing. That is true. I only attack targets when there is a good reason to do so, and not just to get points. I prefer getting resources to getting points. The points will come, in time.

Yes as this is supposed to be a game for everyone we need to be able to support different playing styles. I like empire building also over attack. I do plenty of that in my other games where we have a reset every round. It gets old, I've always like dthe fact that you have the oportunity to empire build here with no resets. I also like that there is SF and others are here to keep it interesting. The most ungame balancing thing the proff has done is to remove ships from planets. It has lead to more exciting play but at a cost. we will eventually work it out. That is the good thing. Because of proff we will have that time and the game will not spiral in on itself through rampant multi'ing and cheating that was going on when Zygi abandoned the game.

The game is becoming more complex but in a generally good way. We have some kinks but they are working or are trying to be worked out in a non, THIS IS MY GAME AND MY RULES SO TOUGH, stance. Proff is always asking for advice nad trying to let us work through things. It doesn't always work, but at least he gives us the space.

so, with 5 planets, it take about 2 weeks of reasourc gathering,, than its one weeks of prod with 50 planets to pay for next month wich leaves you one week of free reas. gathering, if you start with 0 credits at 25 planets
