You then select a the next attacking ship and attack planet. The attack happens in less than one second for all turrets, and you can attack with as many players and as many ships as you would like, but each fighter attacks all turrets remaining until it survives them all or dies trying to kill them.

Turrets also require 10 minutes per turret to build, and can only be built one at a time. So, like ship training, an investment of time is required to get a lot of turrets on a planet.
