Yes, but training is better with higher defense now (100k) and at least it does provide a slight barrier to players capturing the planets if you leave them. Another player really has to want the planets or need them for training experience on a ship to make it worth taking an SP conf planet with 100k defense. Also, it is full shields with 50k defense, so only 100k if the planet is a x10 planet, but it is 110k with x11 planet or 150k with an x15 planet.
