Hey im writing a thesis paper and i wanted your input. Is the v-chip(an american chip that blocks ceratin tv shows beacuse of the rating) an effective control on television violence

v-chip and most old tvs dont have it (but set top boxes are availible in stores near you!

well if the vchip is never turned on then no they are not effective at all but if u can get a tv that has a good working vchip then yes they are usefull

How does this v-chip work? Do TV translators need to trnsimt some special signal for v-chip sys when showing violent movies?
