10:52:59 | Cajin Von Sian II planet Black Horse has been captured by Cajin Von Sian III, Apocalypse.

Seems very odd to create a new player and then benefit from your prior player... clearly Cajin would have >100M points if he kept to one account and is the dedicated/dominant player in the game....

Anybody else think this is strange?

What I think is strange, is why I listened to other people and left over 600M E/T, over a Billion in non-def resources, and 30,000+ credits with the old account instead of bringing it all over and continuing to dominate instead of trying to eke out a living from scratch.

Hitting one inactive is same as hitting another, just prefer the ROI from certain planets.

Agree (I would perhaps not listen to those other people.... :LS: has small ears) Why not just continue with your existing player? or if you were leaving your prior account to blow up all but 1 planet (again would not listen to those voices) ?

I got zero issues with ROI on inactive planets - but in hind sight does it look like creating a target for your future self?

Doing it how I did provided two things, one- enough planets and defense that chances are, CVS II won't be defeated (despite how much I dislike all the inactive HWs sitting around) and two- it provided a credit sink that had been hypothesized as a necessity- if I had time I'd link to the topic on it, but semi-occupied.

And if I had 110M points, it seems a little daunting to think about trying to overtake 1st place then. As it stands, I anticipate someone will overtake it and then I can try to overtake them to regain.

The scores of the old times is clearly out of reach of new players. Just think how far a head of all of us Cajin would be right now if it was only one account.
Some times our best competition is ourselves and this does allow himself to out do him self.
There is another factor you might have missed- there maybe a common enemy who you both share. It is just my guess that this is a primary factor in the event.

I've never had an issue with Cajun - some fun battles in BZ and some production planets for what I recall - free trade when appropriate - and the enemy of my enemies is my friend...

It just looks strange to effectively attack yourself... long ago people would "seed" another planet to players for easy points - points were harder to come by then

A system reset is the answer to clean up the universe - maybe time for Skylords II?

I oppose a reset for a few reasons. One, there is a lot of history that would be destroyed with a reset and another is I just got back into it and couldn't have done it without the resources I still had available ;)

Some games do not reset the worlds or universes-
They open up a another world/universe.
I don't know how that would affect the servers and costs.
A new opening page would be needed and a few other details.
So there are options besides a total reset which would allow history to be preserved for this age.

I think in lieu of a reset, we implement some sort of degrading mechanism to inactive HW def totals.

have a draw down of 2 production points per round starting with a group of inactives and having an additional group start degrading after 6 months, and again 6 months after that, and so on.

This would bring defense to a more reasonable amount over a period of time.

I wouldn't mind also seeing an increase in interest on non def..

What would be equally good or maybe better is to have some of the factories continue to consume.
Eventually that would drop the energy levels.
But with all of the factories going into limbo that is not happening.
Secondly some of us are just after points.
