Weed has been legalized in Washington and Colorado etc.. I'm wondering what this means for the rest of America and there future policies on drugs.

All it took was one state to take the initiative, more and more will follow in their footsteps provided that it doesn't cause any terrible consequences. As long as everything goes smoothly for them then other states will legalize it as well. Of course the will still be at war with the feds. The DEA will come in and shut down the most profitable stores just like they've been doing to the dispensaries in CA. Idk if it will ever be legal in all 50 however, at least not for a long long time. Especially not in my red home state of TX :p |

The Republican Party eventually is going to have to adopt Libertarian policies or cease to exist. That my take on things. the demographics don't fit for them anymore. |

50+ white males are all they have in their pocket. Not going to win an election without women/minorities |

More than likely it will still be illegal by the federal government, as the White House stated, but it isn't on the top of their list right now to go around hunting those who break the federal laws at the moment. But I doubt many of those states that are typically Republican red will change their view anytime soon. Democrat blues may though...that is another story.

Fortran: Ya once when I was a kid . I'm about five hours away. My buddy is moving back down here from NY sometime in DEC so we were planing on going to hit up 6th street as a coming home treat. But I don't think that Bob Marley fest they have every year is enough to sway the rest of the state lol. Austin isn't like the rest of TX from what I hear |

The UK has very stupid laws on drugs at the moment and looks like it will stay that way for awhile. America may change? |

Sadly they passed it. I know I know weed is not that big a deal but I'm biased had a good friend die because the driver of the car was so doped up he passed out and swerved into the other lane doing like 70 . Plus I see the other side of the coin by being in law enforcement. I've seen people who's apartments are complete disaster zones and should be hazmated because they spent all their money on dope and other drugs.

Just to be clear, pot is not my thing. But I've never known anyone on Marijuana to drive over 30 mph. I've also never known a single person to get violent smoking pot (unlike a lot of alcohol abusers).
