Part of this argument depends on how you view planets. To me each one is part of an empire to be defended in such a way that it is not lost. Too much of the old GE game mindset in me I guess.
It seems a lot of players view planets like beer cans- empty them and throw them away.
For myself, I think that a player should manage the planets they have for a self sustaining effort. The present game format allows this and also has enough latitude for other players too.
Which I think is good.

Well I think that the goal should alway be self-sustinance I try to run my empire with what I have without being dependent on anyone else.

As a vet who retired and them came back about a year ago to see how the HWs have exploded, I've had to develope my own sort of hybrid method on how to grow what I have. Which shows a ton of latitude in resource strategy.

i'm for reset ! and planet system can be just only 1 planet in a system, and max planets for one player about 15 (with upgrade) .

it will be cool :D
