right so i used to play fatelords back in the day and then a bit of skylords after that ended... got bored so thought i would give it a go again but dont seem to have a planet...

That is bizarre if your own probes won't pick up the planet. Can you interact with the planet in any way? Rename it or something on those lines?

yes i can even build ships. the ships are built on the coords of the planet but when i move the ship the planet is not there |

Hmm, keep a eye on it, see if it changes in a day or so. Invis planets were wiped from the game a while back if I recall. Could be something wrong with the account itself and the generation process.

Did you start next to another SP planet or a green in the same system or did your planet spawn by itself with no sun etc?

well there was a problem with the account a long time ago.. such a problem that i infact ended up taking over someone elses account while they had mine |

That is a problem, perhaps the account is still broken, you might want to start one afresh and close that one unless you don't mind starting with a handicap. You're supposed to start with 3 in system.

On the bright side you ARE in newbie, I checked those co-ords, no ships, no planet, nothing
