It is hard for me to lament the loss of a player who only had three planets in eight days time.
There still appears to be a bug that is allowing new players to be attacked before they learn the game and/or a lot of players not working through the training maze.

I was speaking with him actively, till some other vets took out his ships and then his planets followed.

An unfortunate series of events, i'm not technically a new player, but it has been a long time since I last played, but now i'm back in the newbie arena, so i'll relearn it.
would a play by play help shed light on whats happening to the newbs?

It'd be great to be honest. No one really has a great idea on what's happening in there

No hard feelings Fortran, let me start with what the last week was like:

As backround, I first found Skylords back in 2004 when I was 13 years old and my name was dagdamor. I got through the missions, joined AiDG and turtled for a few years. never did much, wasn't a big player, then left not long after Deemers did. came back maybe 2 years later, made dagdamor90, stuck around maybe a month then left.

Now i'm in college and I was bored the other day so i decided to look SL up again, and this time google brought it up no problem, i reset my password and started up the 90 account. it gave me a planet in a system with a green and an SP, no problems there. checked my nearbys and I find a vet (MarvelMagnum) sitting right on top of me, and right after that the news says that nosferatu had found my planet. within 24 hours of starting i had an Intrusion Detection, which could have been either of the two players. I had logged in about an hour before it was expected to arrive. EL had said hello to me, heard that there was a fleet headed my way and that might have been his clan mate, and said he'd say something to him. I didn't ask him to call off the fleet but the arrival time came and went and nothing happened. As a side note, when I found the detection I took everything that I had on two of my planets and dumped it onto the other, and with 40 credits I had left over from the old days, I bought 100k troops and put on my shields, added up to about 200k defence.

Next thing I knew I had to get out of that system, so i build a fighter and sent it to the BZ with like 100 U. I was searching the forums for the guide to how to find the warp, i knew it was in the very middle but i wasn't quite sure, finally i found the right post, figured out it was within 15 distance of 0 on X and Y axis, fiddled with it alittle and finally got it to the right area. clicked "enter warp" and it said I needed 500 U. I was like well that would have been nice to know. tranny'd the U in, warped, found a system, sent a spy, then did something stupid, i let them sit there for 5 minutes. POOF they were gone.
like i said stupid mistake, but whatever, i had the coords and decided to check on them later to see if the other guy left them alone (I couldn't have gotten a little 10k assault there in time to beat him, the trip would take 25 hours). so I made 5 more fighters and sent them one by one to the warp, and once the second one landed right were the first one did, i remembered that the warp resets every 15 min, then boom, boom, those two were destroyed. next warp, a 1 planet system, with no resources and 99 million defence, not much use for me.Then I realized that it made more sense to make one big volume fighter with lots of U on it instead of lots of little fighters that could only make one trip. A lesson for later.
