Spoke to Will today and until the new missions are wrote nothing is going to do be done really, so if we can get some new missions drawn up and decided upon then that would be great and get things moving.

Rather than calling a council meeting to vote on it suggest could just vote here if we want to make it official through the council- votes for the proposed missions as they are in previously mentioned topic?

I'll review the missions on my own time over the next hour or so, however I will say this for the idea of a "Council Vote". It's utter bull-ony.

The fact is, SL isn't big enough for a Council. Realistically there are only 3 clans that are big enough to fill that void. SL is not the same clan based game that it neccessarily used to be - especially in terms of active clan warfare and rivalry. With that in mind and the fact that these new player missions will have an influence on every FUTURE clan as well as current, I would simply suggest you put an end date of say, 24 Feb 2011, on voting, then count each individual player vote.

By all means encourage discussion in another topic. But keep a topic simply for voting on Cajins proposals. If they are approved and no new or updated version is approved before the start of March. Then begin implementing them over the March round, with a view to having them in place for April.

On a side note from the above.

I vote Aye. With the following proposal:

A dedicated page to describe the principals of each new concept. For example, after mission 4 where you attack a ship, it explains that you attacked first. What I would like to see is perhaps a paragraph that covers the principles of attack (attacker goes first, the formula for attack [always useful in planning] and then for ship exp benefit on att/def). For the most part this may get a stiff ignoring from the player who can simply click "Next Mission". However to perhaps 20% of new players this may be highly useful in rationalising their use of future resources.
