I know it has been done and been discussed before, but how much gold would be required to probe the entire universe. Well withtin the detectable planet range?

And how many probes.

I want to guess 27000 probes with probing range of 400. LOL!! That's my guesstimate :P

how much does it cost to make a probe? like 5500? Then 148mil gold should be good.

It costs 7500 gold to make a probe and 148mil gold?

Im sure it costs alot more and probing range is 800 now

Probing range hasn't changed. You do it in intevals of 800 because it's 400 in every direction.

202.5 mil gold to probe the whole (current) planet spawning universe (it's been bigger in the past)

33,082,080,000 (a bit over 33 billion) to scan the ENTIRE universe, which has the added bonus of finding those sneaky super far out planets, which include some admin planets and some really old planets (I know there's some old LT player, can't remember who, still has like 20 planets and no one knows where any of them are)
