Many new players immediately go to real arena and loses. I did not see none of that given month, he exploited.

The new players loose patience or have none to start with. The only new players that I have taken out lately have only had one planet or maybe two. Many of us would prefer to mentor a new player as to take him or her out.
There is now doubt in my mind that if the active players took six months off from going after new planets and/or each other, we could take out all of the home planets of the absolute inactive players. If we confined our attacks to new near by planets, and inactive players H.W.’s it would change the face of the game entirely by the beginning of the New Year or maybe even by Halloween.
If we could leave warp alone concentrate on solidifying our present positions and reduced the number of planets that are held by inactive players, and then had the clan leaders draw straws on new players for mentoring the problem could be solved with out the need of programmer intervention.

I would even suggest that maybe the clan leaders should have a meeting, and divide up the known HW's of inactive players for taking them out. Maybe contact the independent players to help with the house cleaning.

I could start over today, and have a defendable home world in less then thirty days. But it takes a plan many new players do not have.

Plan and experience, indeed. That, plus time and patience.

I think that without the warp stuff would get boring soon, though. the difficulty is to not chase the oldies away while attracting newbies.

If it takes being bored to clean things up enough to help new players play the game, it is worth it!

programmers already decided no reset, why are you even questioning it, if you want the reset to be thought over again, make it a trouble ticket for iiri, at this point, the moderators are the deciding factor.
I doubt you'll get anywhere though, because as i said earlier, programmers already decided no reset.

Id be interested in the clan leaders working together and take out the inactive hws. Would give new players time to build and gain experience sadly that all depends on the clans willingness.

Hey Drdysdy, I remember you :) nice to see you around again.

As for new players, forums are dead, a newbie logs in and what do they see? nothing. I think we all agree that we need new players and would all be willing to help newbies out, I know I have in the past.

Clans should be picking up new players and passing them HW's. It happened to me, and I've returned the favor and would do it again.

As for helping to protect new players, we have this morale thing... we need to use it. It makes no sense to me right now, and I never did figure out if it is even used anywhere in the code. Something simple like if your morale goes negative, you can't attack. If you attack a player with fewer stars than you, you loose morale. For that matter, if you oblit a planet, you should loose some morale, I can't imagine the population being all that happy with their leaders if they decided to blow up their planet to make room for a intergalatic highway.

There was a game I played a long time ago where morale affected how fast a population grew. Factories and supportable defense was based on population. I am sure there are other games out there that have similiar restraints.
To change the game to include this would require a major rewrite of the code.
However to award credits to the top person in this area would not.
But I am not in charge of such things, and please don't take this as a critisim of the game. Just an observation!

Major rewrite? I doubt it. You've already got a lot of the things in place to do it, depending on how it was written originally.

Oh and hey moiare I've got a proposition for ya. Check your messages.
