heres a few things i thought of that would give the game a huge amount of variety. Basically, more arenas. Here’s a few descriptions for the arenas I've thought up to be given to choose from when you get out of the nubbie arena. Also, we should make it so that you can participate in all 4 of the arenas at once! This solves many problems, like getting bored (whos going to get bored with up to 4 empires to manage?) and a few other problems that ill talk about further down
All names are temporary; we can come up with good ones later

1.persistant arena
this is what we have now, large empires dukeing it out to dominate each other round after round. No resets or any of the other twisted concepts I've invented
2.the resetting arena
this is pretty self explanatory, its basically what many ppl have been wanting for quite some time. Every 2 months, the whole galaxy resets, and everyone is given the basic noob setup; 1 blue, 1 green, 1 red. Players are given credits based on their performance at the end of the 2 months. But what’s the point? If the winner is given a load of creds or gets to cash in all his resources a couple of weeks ahead and get a huge credit advantage at the start of the new round, than its not really a resetting environment, right? Well heres the solution, remove the market in the resetting arena, and award the credits to the players persistent empire! Noobs who don’t have a persistent empire yet get to have there credits banked, and are awarded them when they start. At the end of the day, you have an enjoyable environment to play in, a reason to play, and more stuff to do! Everyone wins

now onto the REALY fun stuff

3.the ‘big crunch’ arena
in this arena, every player is given the standard starting planets, problem is, nearby range is unlimited >:D the closest enemy can see you, and you can see him, but worst still, there is no warp, and the universe is collapsing at a rate of 333 parasects a day!!! Every player must try and take out as many ppl as possible while scrambling to get to the center planet in order to win the round, but it gets better >:D you cant just make a load of uranium and flight to the center, because you cant make uranium (muahahahahahahaha). The only way to get this vital resource is to capture planets (each cap instantly awards you with ‘crude uranium’ that you can cash in to drop uranium on any planet you want, in a way similar to using the market.) at 333 a day, the universe is toast in about a month.

Aaaand my personal fave…

4.sudden death arean!!!!!
In this hardcore arena, each player is given a SINGLE planet, and all caps instantly oblit! The starting planet is given a production rate of 50, and apart from that is just like the persistent arena. Last man standing wins >:D

They aren't terrible ideas but, they aren't really feasible at the moment either. We barely have enough players to support the arenas we have..

Also, while I'm no expert in the technical side of things, i'm pretty sure to support four such completely different universes we would need four different servers...

I have thought of potential other server/arena options also to add a little spice, I think you have some good ideas

i was actually hoping that these new modes would bring more activity. ultimately what it comes down to is more ppl knowing about the game, until that happens, even these bits of awesomeness are useless :/ but at least adding some variety to the ways you can play the game would make more noobs stick to it...

maybe we could make it so that war isnt the only way to get points? that way ppl who want to have a more peaceful existence have a method to pursue it?
