Hey im new to the game and i was wondering how do you spend the credits to increase your planet limit...it says currently its at 25 planets but with credits you can increase this...how do i do this???

ive got 5 credits just i dont know how to spend them

You can't, you haven't got enough.

When you get enough credits you can go to the "upgrades" section and spend them on secret technologies such as upgraded planet limit or enhanced probing abilities. There is a variety but I haven't used them in some time so I can't tell you them all.

You can also use credits to buy resources on the market. These come in batches of 100,000 of resources (i.e 1 unit of troops on the market is 100,000 troops) but I don't think anything is going for 5 credits at the moment.
