well, I used it once this morning, and found two planets in one system with the first usage.

Might just be an unlucky day for you.

Nothing changed in code in past day or two for warp, and it does appear to be working as normal and per spec now at least.

As for SL2, I have no idea. The developer is working on warp there, and making some changes to bring in stable warp into this game, but that is not an active server so it is often being worked on and results there are unpredictable. SL2 is not intended to be an active game playing server at this time. It is just being used for development and testing.

Some answers. Warp is random. In a random string, things can happen in "hot" or "cold" streaks, but over time, the statistics approach the mean or in other words, things average out.

I tested warp, moving it manually, about 15 times today. Got planets 6 times out of 15, but, it was four planets for four warps first and then no planets eight times in a row, and then planets two of the next three times.

This is slightly below expected average for times to find a planet, but the four in a row was obviously above expected average. If you are finding them more than half the time on average, you are doing well and getting "lucky" with the warp.
