Well appartantly someone in our class has a friend that is from Lith and no body knew where that was except ME!!!! So then a bunch of people asked where it was, what language they spoke and how I knew about it.

Apparantly it seems in USA noone teaches about other part of the world exept America continent

ya, really, they used to teach about other continents, but since ppl from other countries started to know more about our country than we did, I guess they centered around mainly us. Go Figure

Besides, i had never heard of Lithuania till i got here.

As for country knowledge i remembered one generalization i once added to Liths joke topic:

UNESCO made a survey. In variuos parts of the world people where asked one question:
"Could you honestly answer what is your personal opinion about the lack of food in other countries of the world?"
Survey results:
> Europeans didn't understand the word "lack";
> Africans didn't understand the word "food";
> People in USA didn't understand what are "other countries"; ()
> Chinese and Arabian didn't understand what is "personal opinion";
> Lithuania Parlament is still trying to accept casual correction for more accurate description of word "honestly"...
