I was laughing at his comment that whoever keeps pirating his ships needs to quit it. That was a funny one. No way are they going to quit, and piracy is definitely a part of the game (although certainly an annoying part for the one being pirated).

One thing I have done for one of my HWs is to label the planet with its coordinates as the name, so it is easier for pirates to quickly show up to join the action when the planet is defeated.

I sold some on the market and spread some resources arround, and hid some on some planets that have possibly unknown locations. Planets with large resources left now have larger defenses, to reduce attractiveness for attackers.
