... click on the manage buildings button. If you build a turret, and then never click the manage buildings button again, that turret will never come online. Think of it like having construction finished, but no one told to go staff the building.
This is the only way Iiridayn could get buildings to working in time for this round. Not a major inconvenience, since you can click the manage buildings button for any planet and the building you last built then automatically comes online.
Since this game is designed to only update files in response to a player action, there has to be some action which causes buildings to startup production after being built. Rather than have a separate button to turn a building on after being built, Iiridayn set it up so all buildings turn on if they have resources available needed for production (e.g., energy or hydrogen) at any time that a player clicks the manage buildings button for any planet. Buildings could not turn on automatically after being built, as there has to be a time period for construction. Thus, the action to turn them on had to be separated in time from the action to create them via the build structures button.
